TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS
Tell us a little about your business – what does the company do and who are your customers?
We have been in the industry since 2005. We are a boutique firm specializing in wedding/event invitations, planning and coordination. We are really in the business of details. We help create invitations, weddings and events of our client’s dreams, with a variety of options for wherever they are in the planning process. Because we provide our clients with an extremely high level of personalized service, we take on a very limited number of wedding/event planning clients each year, offering our services exclusively to them. Every client is not a fit for our style of boutique service, and being a mutually good fit with our clients is our number one priority. We offer hundreds of styles of save the dates, wedding invitations and social stationery from the most venerable companies and designers in our industry, as well as completely custom designs to capture your event’s unique style. We offer wedding accessories such as ceremony programs, napkins, favor boxes/bags, welcome bags, menu cards, table cards, place cards, and more.
TELL US ABOUT YOU
I started my own stationery business out of my home 7 years ago based on my love of invitations, stationery, weddings, and etiquette. I have always loved a good old handwritten note and much prefer the tradition of a nicely printed invitation to an e-vite! I have since trained formally in the world of etiquette and helped hundreds of brides and clients find the perfect invitations and stationery to express their personal style. Helping customers to achieve their goals one-on-one is my passion.
What’s your favorite part of a typical day?
The ride to take my son to and from school, when we just get time to talk about the coming day ahead or how our day went, or just ride quietly, just the two of us. Not all moms have that time every day and I don’t want to take it for granted because I sure won’t have it forever.
Who gives you the best advice about your work?
Hands down, my husband Randy. He is also an entrepreneur, who has been in business much longer than I have. While he is in a different industry, he has an amazingly keen business sense about him and we enjoy discussing business issues to find unique solutions that help to set our businesses apart from others.
What part of your job would you gladly give up?
Scheduling! I really don’t enjoy figuring out the schedule for my associates of who can/cannot work on what days, etc. and juggling the time schedule for everyone. That and paying bills, which is never fun!
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, great food and wine and traveling to our favorite city, Charleston, SC. I also enjoy doing fun things with my 9 year old son, reading, shopping and wasting away hours on Pinterest!
What would we be surprised to learn about you?
That I majored in Management Science and Information Technology in college at Virginia Tech and started out my career and as technology geek and computer programmer.
