Real Richmond Wedding | Sarah and David Micro Wedding Chic – COVID-19 at Virginia House

Jessica and Matthew’s love story began in the most unexpected of places—amid the hustle and bustle of their workplace. It was March 2016 when Jessica, a fresh recruit at the USPS, found herself shadowing Matthew to learn the ropes of the job. Their connection grew over the course of a month, and it was Matthew who took the first step, casually asking for her phone number. Daily conversations evolved from friendship to something more, and it wasn’t long before they decided it was time for their first date at Cinebistro.

As their relationship blossomed, Matthew planned a proposal that was something out of a movie (*wink wink*). They returned to the very place where their first date had taken place. Unbeknownst to Jessica, Matthew had orchestrated a grand surprise. He reserved the entire movie room, filling it only with their closest family and friends. As the movie drew to a close, Matthew excused himself momentarily, claiming to check on dessert. To Jessica’s astonishment, a server brought out not just dessert but also a sparkling ring. In that magical moment, Matthew asked Jessica to be his forever.

After booking their dream venue, the pair went straight to planning. Their vision for wedding décor was classy, timeless elegance. The color palette was navy blue, white, and silver, evoking a classy and sophisticated ambiance. The ceremony was nothing short of spectacular. Beautiful floral arrangements lent an air of enchantment to the proceedings and the couple partook in a unity sand ritual, symbolizing their union as one.

Guests were treated to a culinary feast during cocktail hour, with delectable offerings.  Flowers adorned the foyer, and candle-lit tables created an inviting atmosphere. However, it was during their first dance that they truly wowed their guests. Sparklers and a dancing cloud machine added a touch of magic to the moment, creating an unforgettable experience.

Jessica and Matthew share that their favorite part of the day was the room reveal. “After months of planning, we were able to see the vision come together perfectly!”
