Real RVA Wedding: Krystin & Timothy’s Historic Mankin Mansion Wedding
Krystin & Timothy
March 26, 2016
How They Met
Krystin tells us, “We met in the summer of 2012 on eHarmony. After being matched, quickly realizing we had a lot in common, and chatting for weeks, we exchanged phone numbers. After weeks of talking over the phone, we decided to meet face to face for a dinner date. It was the best first date!”
How He Asked
After about three years of dating, Timothy decided that it was time to pop the question. We took a trip down to Fairhope, Alabama for a family reunion. After two days of driving, Timothy decided he couldn’t wait any longer. Upon checking into the rental house, Timothy asked Krystin for help with getting the bags out of the car and into the house. Krystin turned away to continue to unload the car, and when she turned back around, she realized Timothy was down on one knee. It was a complete surprise. Krystin began to cry and of course she said yes. About that time, Timothy’s family came outside to congratulate them and take lots of pictures. Little did Krystin know, her entire family was also in on the surprise. It was an absolute whirlwind of a weekend with the most perfect proposal.
The Perfect Place
Krystin and her family did lots of searching online and read many reviews. After visiting Historic Mankin Mansion and walking through the grounds, there was no question: HMM was it!
The Details
Krystin simply wanted to have a timeless, classic wedding. That is why we chose the black and white, with a hint of red. We felt like the venue was absolutely beautiful, and didn’t need to do too much in order to make it exactly what we had envisioned.
The Best Part
Krystin: “Seeing my groom for the first time as I walked down the aisle!”
Timothy: “Having all of our family and friends in the same place to celebrate with Krystin and I.”
