Tell us a little about your company!

Every Little Detail is a full service wedding planning company based in Richmond, Virginia. We offer customized services to fit the needs of each and everyone one of our clients.

How did you get started in this business?

Wedding planning found me. Or was it the other way around? I’m not sure.

When I got married, I solicited the help from my sister-in-law, and while I thought she was great, I knew there was something missing, like missing pieces to a puzzle.  It got me thinking about how I could help others to fill the void of making sure that puzzle was put together. I was sadly mistaken to think this would be just a hobby. I really found passion like I’d never known before with helping couples with every little detail of their wedding.

What differentiates you from other businesses in your field?

Our customized services, hands down. We don’t fit our clients into a package that fits our need. We offer a tailor-made, one-of-a-kind experience that is bar none.

Why do you like working with weddings?

It’s about the journey that starts at the first client meeting until the send off at the end of the night. There is nothing like waking up on the day of the wedding, bags packed, your favorite cup of joe in hand (with an extra shot of espresso, of course) and the thought that you are about to make magic happen for your clients. The best feeling, I tell ya!

From a vendor’s perspective, what is the one best piece of advice you can offer to engaged couples?

A planner’s perspective on hiring a planner: Ask the questions you need to ask to feel comfortable about the investment, and then TRUST your planner to do what you have hired them to do.

What or who motivates you?

My husband, our daughter and the ELD clients!

My husband because through his eyes, there isn’t anything that I can’t accomplish when I put my mind to it.

My WHY, our daughter, who is so sweet and full of goodness. She just makes me a better person.

And the ELD clients who trust me to have their best interest at heart and to have fun and enjoy the journey with them.

What do you like to do when you are away from work?

Spending time with my family and friends and reading a really good book.

What would we be surprised to learn about you?

When I’m listening to my Wicked sound track, I really believe that I am Defying Gravity as Elphaba from Wicked.
