The Little Details
By Caroline Birgmann
We are often told that it’s the little things in life that matter most. The sweetness of friendship, the sound of laughter, the smell of fresh flowers — all of these little details lead to happiness in life. This is also true when it comes to planning your wedding. The little details truly count! A wedding that is adorned with tiny personal touches can really make your guests feel special.
Here are my top five favorite little wedding details:
In a perfect world, you and your sweetheart would be able to personally welcome all of your guests upon their arrival; however, this is most likely not possible! A wedding welcome bag, filled with goodies of course, is the perfect way to say hello and let your guests know you are glad they are here. Typically, these are distributed as your guests check in to their hotel. On a budget? No worries, a hand written card will always suffice!
Personalized Cocktail Napkins
This is my absolute favorite wedding detail of all! The best time to debut your personalized cocktail napkins is during cocktail hour. They can be designed with your custom wedding colors and printed with your wedding date or monogram. Or, why not add a fun fact about you and your sweetheart? This is a great way to share your love with your guests in an interactive way.
These napkins are available exclusively in The Caroline Doll Shop!
Your cocktail hour is also a wonderful opportunity to show off your creativity and add an extra special detail to your wedding. You can match your signature cocktail to your wedding colors or simply choose your favorite drinks to feature. To step it up a notch, add a creative and personalized name to reflect the personalities of both of you!
Personalized Table Numbers
Another way to add personality to your wedding is to create a theme for your guest tables. This is an easy way to share more about your love story with your guests or maybe even a silly fact that will make them laugh. With personalized table numbers you can really make your guests feel a part of your wedding, especially since they will be spending a lot of time at their tables!
At the conclusion of the evening, when your guests bid you and your sweetheart farewell, why not surprise them one last time? A wedding favor is the perfect way to say thank you to your guests and add a final personal detail to your wedding. How about sending them off with after dinner mints and bottled water? What about a sweet treat buffet with candy, macaroons and donuts? Or, my favorite, a mini bottle of bubbly! Your guests will be very appreciative that you remembered them all the way “˜til the end.
It’s the little details that are crucial. All of these little details make big things happen.
