Many weddings have the same elements. It’s personalizing those elements that make your family and guests talk about how great your wedding was for years. Here are some of our favorite ways to make your wedding stand out:

1) The EPIC Wedding Party Entrance

Brainstorm with your wedding party to create an epic entry into your venue. When the DJ announces your wedding party and the guests are blown away at the beginning of the reception, they know they’re in for the night of their lives.

Epic Examples We’ve Seen

  • The DJ played the instrumental version of Uptown Funk and the maid of honor sang the lyrics as she walked/danced around the reception hall while the wedding party danced behind her. It combined karaoke and dance, and made for an awesome entrance!
  • A full on choreographed dance routine to a combination of songs! The wedding party entered to one song, then the bride and groom to another, and then they all danced together to a high-energy closing song. Keeping the whole routine under five minutes ensured that the guests were entertained long enough to be blown away but short enough that they didn’t get bored.

2) A Choreographed First Dance

If you’re not comfortable dancing in the first place, let alone in front of friends and family, hire someone to help you choreograph a dance. It will make you less nervous AND can make it more memorable.

You can go super romantic, you can get smooth and sexy, or you can be hilarious. It’s up to you how creative you want to be, and your guests will appreciate seeing something unique and totally you!

3) Fun With A Photo Booth

Photo booths are fun, and they encourage your guests to mingle while picking out props.  Plus, the printed photos make unique take away party favors.

4) Get A Customized Gobo 

Gobos are customizable templates that can get projected onto the wall above the wedding party’s table or any other suitable surface. You can put your initials, your name and wedding date, or your new monogram. The options are endless, and there are tons of designs to choose from.

Just ask your DJ or lighting designer if they can provide this for you. Typically, you’re able to keep the gobo afterwards. They make cool Christmas ornaments or could easily be fashioned for other uses by a crafty pair of hands.

5) Snapchat Geofilters

Allow your guests to commemorate your wedding with a custom Geofilter for Snapchat!

Since Snaps can be saved by the person taking them, your guests can post the custom filtered photo on Instagram and use your special wedding hashtag so all the mobile photos are easy to find!

Those are just some of the ways that you can take your wedding to the next level — you can go as crazy as your imagination and budget will allow! It might take some creative brainstorming on your part, but imagine the look of amazement on your guests’ faces when you hit them with the unexpected!
