If you care to share, how did you get to where you are now?
As a New York transplant and resident of North Carolina, I have always loved the urban and industrial setting and that is what attracted me to Richmond to open up my second venue. I currently own and operate The Cloth Mill at Eno River in Hillsborough, NC and I am excited to bring The Loft at Steamer Co 5 to the city of Richmond.
What makes you or your business stand out and why should a couple hire you?
The Loft is unlike any other venue in RVA. Located in the Jackson Ward neighborhood in downtown Richmond, The Loft is on the second floor of a historic firehouse. The charm, character, and urban vibe of the Loft is everywhere you look in the venue. High ceilings, exposed brick, large cathedral windows, and loads of character provides you with the perfect backdrop for any type of style.
The Loft provides flexibility for couples to put their own spin on their wedding day without breaking their budget. No need to cater your wedding design to the style of the venue, The Loft provides you with endless design options.
What’s your favorite thing about working in the wedding industry?
Providing couples the space to have the wedding of their dreams. I love seeing and experiencing the love stories of each couple.
What’s your best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding?
Plan the wedding that YOU want to have and not the wedding that you think you’re suppose to have.
How do you de-stress?
Shopping at Target right before they close or a spa day.
What’s your favorite food/dish/cuisine?
I love Italian food and I love sweets.
What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Bruno Mars
Do you love to travel? If so, what are some must-see destinations?
I do! Montreal, San Diego, Jamaica, and New York
What is your favorite season of the year and why?
Fall. I love the crispiness in the air and the changing of the leaves.
