Linden Row Inn

Linden Row Inn is a 70-room boutique historic hotel in the heart of Downtown Richmond. The hotel is comprised of seven row homes built in the mid-1800’s, and meticulously restored over the years and lovingly restored in 1988 as a full-service Inn by Historic Richmond Foundation. Most of the rooms are furnished with antiques from the middle and late 1800’s, and the hotel is proud to be featured on the National Register of Historic Places.

The property features an intimate Garden Courtyard that is perfect for rehearsal dinners, elopements, ceremonies, and receptions. Adjacent to the Garden Courtyard and accessible by french doors, our Board Room is perfect for smaller, intimate affairs such as bridal showers and post-wedding brunches.

Romance has always flourished at Linden Row. As an adolescent, Edgar Allan Poe first courted his lifelong love, Elmira Royster Shelton, on the property where the Linden Row Inn now stands. Poe went on to describe this location as the “enchanted garden” in his famous poem “To Helen." Since then, love has blossomed for countless romantics who have set foot on the property.
