Monumental Church

Monumental Church was designed by Robert Mills, America’s first native-born architect, in 1814. It is the most elaborate and only surviving of the five domed, octagonal buildings designed by Mills, making it a priceless component of America’s historical and architectural landscape.
Recently restored by Historic Richmond, Monumental Church is a non-denominational deconsecrated church ideal for any wedding or group event, and its unique historical character will make your special day even more memorable.
Be a part of history by celebrating your monumental moment in this unique historic landmark. The sanctuary exudes a simple elegance that creates a romantic setting for your wedding ceremony, and the terrace and side lawn are available for receptions.
