The National, located at 7th and East Broad in Downtown Richmond, opened in 1923. It became part of the thriving downtown theater scene. Upon its reopening in 2008, The National has seen another chapter of its history unfold. The National has hosted concerts with Willie Nelson, Elvis Costello, Widespread Panic, and Alice Cooper to name a few.
In addition, The National has become of one Downtown Richmond's premier wedding and event venues. The National’s history and flexibility creates the perfect backdrop for a wide variety of events.
