How They Met
Growing up, the two had always been around each other. Their childhood houses weren’t too far apart, and they’ve always gone to the same schools, but never officially met until their 10th grade drivers ed class. Shortly after meeting, Jessica and Cody started dating, they’ve been inseparable ever since.
The Proposal
Jessica and Cody ventured on a road trip to Ohio with Cody’s family. They decided to take a pitstop in Pttsburg to overlook the big city. Cody seized his opportunity and got down on one knee! Cody’s family celebrated and took pictures with them, and they called Jessica’s family right after.
The Unique Element
They opted to break traditions by getting married on a Wednesday, not to have a wedding party, and Jessica walked herself down the aisle. There was an intimate guest list and wanted everyone to be seated. Jessica and Cody had the alter to themselves! “We did technically assign a maid of honor and best man just in case we needed help, but they wore whatever they wanted and didn’t have to stand behind us during the ceremony!”
The Favorite Part
The couple loved dancing with all of their guests during the reception. The stress of planning was finally over, the ceremony was a breeze, and they could finally let loose and party with friends and family.
The Advice
“I would tell engaged couples to remember that this wedding is about you and your future spouse. Nobody else. This day is ultimately to celebrate your love for each other and that’s all that matters.”
