How They Met
Shannon and Andrew met on hinge in 2019! On their first date, the two hit it off immediately, as Shannon says, “…basically never stopped seeing each other after the first date.” They moved in together (officially) after about a year of dating and bought a house in August 2023.
The Proposal
On a family beach trip in Corolla, Shannon’s mom planned family pictures with a professional photographer. Little did Shannon know, this was actually the setting for Andrew’s proposal! Andrew got down on one knee in front of Shannon’s entire family, and even had her sister watching on
Facetime from Peru.
The Unique Element
Shannon had always dreamt of a magical outdoor ceremony on scenic grounds. Naturally, that meant it poured on her wedding day. But despite the change in weather, Shannon said the rain only added to the magic. A live string quartet and a wedding painter brought an extra touch of elegance and romance to the day.
The Favorite Part
What made the day truly unforgettable was how deeply in love Andrew and Shannon were—and how clearly their guests could feel it. The joy was infectious, and the couple received countless compliments. During their vows, emotions ran high; it seemed nearly everyone was in tears. Shannon’s favorite moment was walking down the aisle. While seeing Andrew waiting for her was unforgettable, she also took a moment to look around at all the people who had gathered in love and support. It was a powerful reminder of how special that day was—one rare moment when all the people they care about were together in one place.
A Note From the Couple
“Do the wedding for you and no one else. If something goes wrong, have a dedicated person to fix it and if they can’t it wasn’t meant to be. If something goes wrong do NOT let it ruin your day because the only thing that matters is that you’re marrying your person.”
