The Richmond Weddings Winter Show is finally here! We are beyond excited to see everyone on Sunday, January 12, 2025! This is a unique wedding show, and we want you to have the best time possible! We came up with some tips to help you get the most out of your experience. With these tips you can stay organized, happy, and excited to walk down the aisle to your sweetheart.
First things first, create a separate email for all things wedding related. Keep your wedding planning emails separate from your personal ones to help declutter your planning process. After the show, you’ll be receiving exclusive and valuable information from our exhibitors. Try creating something simple and easy to read/write. Maybe it can be the hashtag you’re planning on using!
“We got this tip from your list of things to do to prepare for the Wedding Show: create a new email account for all things wedding related. We had all of our contacts with vendors, tracking information for any wedding item we ordered, and everything else having to do with the wedding located in one central place and both of us had access to it. It made it easy to share the planning duties and stay informed at all stages of the process! Plus, we didn’t have to sort through any personal emails and we could ensure that nothing got overlooked. It was the single best thing we did in the planning process. Many avoided headaches and easy organization, which is a dream for anyone planning a wedding.” – from a recent wedding show attendee
Get Your Tickets Early. Save time by buying tickets online before the day of the show. This will help get you and your group checked-in and onto mingling with vendors as soon as possible. Plus, you save money when you buy early!
Establish Your Budget. Nothing is worse than falling in love with a vendor and then realizing they’re out of budget. Establish a budget for each category so you can come to the show with a clear vision.
Research Exhibitors. Before our show, figure out what you still need for your wedding and who you’d like to try to meet. Check out our complete list of exhibitors! If you’re just getting started, come early, take your time, and enjoy!
Don’t Forget:
- Your Calendar/Planner. Many of our vendors will be looking to book venue tours, tastings, and more! Have your schedule ready to go for easy planning!
- Pre-Printed Labels. Include your name, wedding date, wedding location, mailing address, and wedding email address that you can have readily available to give each of the exhibitors you meet. They will LOVE you for it!
Wear Comfy Shoes! You’ll be doing more walking than you expect, so be sure to wear some comfy shoes! Main Street Station is an expansive place. Throughout the excitement, your feet will be the last thing on your mind! Do yourself a favor and wear some comfortable shoes to keep your feet happy.
The Less Stuff You Bring, The Better. Some of our vendors will be giving out freebies and goodies. No need to bring anything extra while trying to plan your wedding! Consolidate your belongings before you come in the door!
Ask Away! Ask the wedding pros any questions you might have. They are super friendly and are there to help you plan the wedding of your dreams, and they are the industry experts. Ask them!
Take Photos! Capture all of the endless inspiration and fun that will be at our show! They’ll help you with your planning and create lasting memories. And make sure to tag @rvaweddings so we can re-share!

Keep It Organized. Separate your meetings and other various items into groups by vendor type. Make notes in a Google Sheet about each of the vendors you spoke with, noting things you liked and questions that might have popped up! Getting everything organized will make you feel accomplished!
