Real Richmond Wedding | Alisha and Travis at Virginia Crossings

Travis and Alisha met during the summer 2013 at a track meet. Alisha was there helping her god father, who was Travis’ high school track coach at the time. Alisha tells us “In between races, Travis would come over to talk to a mutual friend. Now this is the part we remember a bit differently. Travis believes he was giving me an opportunity to notice him. He broke Hermitage’s school record and was feeling pretty triumphant. While I remember not quite being able to figure out why this guy kept coming over and not really saying anything.” It wasn’t until a later date, after Travis followed Alisha on  Twitter, they they would chat with each other.

Fast forward a few years to June 26, 2018 – Travis proposed to Alisha while they were on summer vacation in Niagara Falls.

Like many other couples in 2020, Alisha and Travis had the challenge of planning their dream wedding keeping COVID restrictions in place. They ended up having a small outdoor ceremony at Virginia Crossings Hotel.

“Our favorite part of the day was the reception. We really enjoyed dancing and spending time with our friends and family!”

When asked their best piece of advice, the couple says, “All the small details won’t matter at the end of the night. Remember to enjoy the process and take time to relish in all the love of the day.”
