Meet Chloe, Director of Hospitality and Events with The Preserve at Dundee! Chloe found her love for events while working in sweet home Alabama. Read about how her past experience led to her current role, and what wedding trend she’s been loving!
Tell us how many years have you been in the wedding industry? I have been working in the wedding industry for close to 6 years now – specifically with wedding venues that double as hunting preserves. I began working at Auburn Oaks in Auburn, Alabama and continued to work there for three years while in college. This is where I found my love for events and hospitality. It helped that I was also majoring in Wildlife Enterprise Management which was a major in Wildlife and a minor in Hospitality. The events and wedding side of my job at Auburn Oaks gave me lots of experience with hospitality. I am now Director of Events and Hospitality at The Preserve at Dundee and love every aspect of it. I am looking forward to meeting each new Bride that comes to Dundee!
What’s your specific role in the wedding process? Are you hands on with the couples or do you work behind the scenes?
My role in the wedding process begins the day the couples reaches out to The Preserve. I will be the couples guide to everything they need to know about choosing The Preserve at Dundee as their venue. My role begins with a site visit – These are my favorite as this gives me an opportunity to interact with the couple and get a real feel for exactly what they are looking for on their special day. I will then be the venue’s point of contact for the remainder of the wedding planning process. I will work closely with your wedding planner and will always be there to answer any questions that arise. To fully answer the question, I am hands on with the couple until the special day is booked, then I will work behind the scenes with your wedding planner to curate your event!
When should couples book their services with you ? As long as our schedule is available, we would love to host your wedding. If you can plan it, we can host it!
What’s your most frequently asked question by engaged couples? Here at The Preserve at Dundee, when you book your wedding there are so many different possibilities you can choose from to customize your wedding day. We have multiple ceremony locations, ability to add on a rehearsal dinner that can be elevated into a dinner in the field, wedding day activities (season dependent on activities available, but different activities all year round) and more.
What are some trends you’ve seen in weddings recently that you’ve loved? My favorite wedding trends at the moment are custom crests or logos that represent the couples personality and documentary style photography. I personally love documentary style because it allows people to remain in the moment, while also capturing life long memories of true laughter and camaraderie.
When it comes to food, what’s your guilty pleasure? Mexican Food – A bowl of Queso and a Margarita can cure anything !!
What’s a fun or unusual fact about yourself?
Fun Fact: I am engaged and planning my wedding right now too! This has been such a fun and sweet time and has really allowed me to connect with our brides. Bouncing ideas back and forth and truly understanding where they stand in the planning process has been great.
