Liz and Brittany met online in April of 2021. After eagerly awaiting a first date, both left vacations a day early to go on a lunch date —where the beginning to their forever began!
One fall day, Brittany planned the ultimate date doing all of their favorite things. The morning started at the RVA Big Market in Bryan Park, followed by brunch, then to a spa for massages and facials. They ended the night with a perfect table at Quirk’s rooftop bar for drinks and watching the sunset. Brittany told Liz everything she loves about her and handed her a gift. Liz says, “As I unwrapped a piece of art from Quirk that looked like a Pantone swatch titled “Marry Me”, she pulled out the most beautiful green sapphire ring.”
As theater lovers, Dominion Energy Center checked all of the boxes! Brittany and Liz walked the aisle to an instrumental version of ‘Lover’ by Taylor Swift. A friend officiated and kept the ceremony light and funny. As if these two weren’t meant to be as is — they surprised each other by both quoting the movie ‘Twilight” in their vows!
The reception vibe was ‘Old Hollywood’ with lots of black, white, and gold. Their extensive menu left the guests raving! With choices that ranged from mini beef wellingtons to portabella mushrooms, it was foodie paradise.
They wanted to party… and trust me when we tell you they did! A live band put on an incredible show that started with smoke machines and ended with the lead singer taking his shirt off! Being fans of the show The Office, the band presented Liz and Brittany with their very own Dundie Award during the performance.
When asked their best piece of advice, Liz and Brittany said, “Have a very thorough timeline and hire a day-of coordinator. It is your day and don’t let anyone tell you how to spend it.”
