Stephanie & Marshall
August 6, 2022
Stephanie and Marshall went to high school together and reconnected in 2015 when Marshall returned to Richmond after going to college in Montana. The love continued to grow, and Marshall just knew this was the girl he was going to spend forever with. After choosing the ring, he wanted to wait for the perfect moment to pop the question.
On a date night at their favorite restaurant, Marshall decided to bring the ring in case an opportunity presented itself. Stephanie offered to take pictures of a couple at the end of a dock by the water, and Marshall leapt at the chance to propose! He asked the gentleman to take their photos as well, and after several normal pictures, Marshall dropped to one knee. Stephanie and the man taking photos were equally surprised!
Stephanie is very detail-oriented, so every single element was thought through and executed perfectly. From the classy barn to the delicious food, this was truly a wedding to remember.
Before the ceremony the two exchanged gifts: Stephanie gave Marshall cufflinks. One engraved with her handwriting and one with his late father’s writing she found on an old birthday card. Marshall gifted Stephanie a bouquet charm with a photo of Stephanie’s late grandparents that she was very close with. The ceremony was simple and quick, but still embraced unique touches.
When asked their favorite parts of the day, Stephanie shares “my favorite part was the introductions into the reception, I felt very relaxed and ready to get the party going!” Marshall recalls his favorite part of the day was “the ceremony, because he loved looking out into the crowd and seeing all of his favorite people.”
The couple’s best piece of advice? “Do not let any issues get you down because your wedding day is absolutely the best – being surrounded by all of your favorite people is the most amazing feeling.”
Stephanie and Marshall are now building their dream forever home and say, “It’s not easy, but if we can make it through this, we can make it through anything!”
