The Tuckahoe Woman’s Club

In 1936, The Tuckahoe Woman's Club was started by two women and twenty-four of their friends with an emphasis on philanthropic activities in the community. As the membership grew, these women needed a permanent home. They applied and were approved for a mortgage to construct the building in 1947. The Tuckahoe Woman's Club was built and the grand opening was held on December 1, 1954. The mortgage was paid off 2 years later and a wing was added in 1957.

The Tuckahoe Woman's Club is now a popular rental site for weddings, cotillion, and community events. Highlights of this stunning and graceful venue include a spacious auditorium, an intimate reception room, and a beautiful garden that has hosted numerous weddings and receptions.
