Fate was working hard for Daniel and Lindsey. Daniel was living life in New York before a job opportunity called him to Virginia. Lindsey found herself calling Richmond home after her studies in college. After a few friendly connections and work encounters, Daniel and Lindsey found each other in 2015 and they’ve been inseparable ever since!
Five years later Daniel and Lindsey planned a day in Charlottesville visiting vineyards with friends. Once they arrived to their second vineyard of the day, Daniel went in to check on the lunch reservation. While waiting, the couple and their friends walked around the vineyard. It was drizzling, but beautiful nonetheless. The skies cleared for a moment and they jumped on the opportunity to take pictures. Daniel told Lindsey to put her umbrella down and when she turned back around there Daniel was, down on one knee. The remainder of the day was filled of excitement, shock, and happiness. After lunch, everyone headed back to Richmond to celebrate with Dans family and were pleasantly greeted with their dog Otto wearing a bandana that read “Mom said yes!”.
When wedding planning, Daniel and Lindsey wanted the overall theme to feel natural and modern. They really leaned into dark greenery, since it was going to be an outdoor fall wedding. They were intentional with tying in outdoor elements such as pampers and ferns to really elevate the decor. Personal touches were also added, such as featuring Otto, whom Lindsey also did a first look with.
Daniel and Lindsey cherished getting together with friends and family from near and far. Spending time with loved ones was a favorite for both of them. They also enjoyed seeing the hard work put in during planning come to life, forming the most perfect day.
When asked what part of the wedding did they want to “WOW” the guests, Lindsey replied “All of it! I am so detail oriented I wanted the guests to be wowed by it all and really enjoy themselves. Dan and I spent so much time on all details from arranging transportation for our guests, picking out the delicious food which had options for those with dietary restrictions like myself. Fun cocktails with an ice luge that served espresso martinis! A fabulous and entertaining band to get everyone on the dance floor. Beautiful florals with high and low centerpieces. Custom signage that was very personal to us.”
Some words of wisdom from the couple:
“Celebrate each milestone along the way. Wedding planning should be fun and exciting… we loved having a long engagement – it gave us time to relax and continue the celebration!”
