Rylie & Dana
September 17, 2021
Who knew that you could find your future spouse at therapy? Rylie and Dana worked on the same rehab team with two adults who suffered brain injuries. The professional attraction arose due to the mutual respect and admiration for each other’s passion to help others. As time went on, they realized the admiration had grown into love, and with a team of coworkers supporting them (who knew they were in love way before they did), they dove head first into their new beginning.
They say when you know, you know. A little less than a year after making it official the two bought a house together! Some people say to wait six-twelve months before hitting another huge milestone, but Dana had other plans. With a nervous grin on his face, flowers, and a bottle of wine in hand, Dana was prepared to ask her to spend forever with him. When Rylie made it home and saw Dana on one knee on the porch, right where they started building their life together. She said “yes”!
The Linden Row Inn was the perfect location for this newly engaged couple. It captured the perfect blend of city and history that Rylie and Dana were looking for. While keeping traditional elements, they wanted to celebrate their marriage and give it more of a party feel. The bride and groom suites were a few doors down from each other, so the whole weekend they were able to mingle and feel like they were in college dorms all over again!
On the way into the reception, there was a welcome bar open to guests. To add a unique twist, they put instructions featured on the wedding programs for a drinking game! For the gals, anytime they heard the word “love”, they would take a sip. For the gents, they would take a sip anytime they heard the word “forever.” They even had custom flasks for the bridesmaids & groomsmen to use throughout the game.
The couple shared their vows and a glass of bourbon tucked away in a small garden to slow down with each other before the ceremony. It has now been almost a year since their big day, they are celebrating two new job promotions, and have just closed on a new home!
