Rebecca and Mike’s love story proves that true love is still possible in the world of online dating. As they talked non-stop for a week after matching on Bumble, they quickly realized that they had a unique connection that was hard to come by. It wasn’t long before they decided to meet up for coffee, and from that moment on, they were inseparable.
Their relationship flourished over the years as they created cherished memories together. Mike knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Rebecca and planned a proposal that would take her breath away. He arranged a romantic vacation to Lake Tahoe and Sedona, envisioning a proposal atop a mountain overlooking a breathtaking view. During the Tahoe portion, Rebecca was not feeling well so he decided to hold off.
Despite the setback, Mike refused to let anything ruin their moment. He waited patiently until they arrived in Sedona, where he was finally able to propose as the sun set behind them. He recounted their most cherished memories before getting down on one knee and asking her to be his forever. Rebecca’s response was an ecstatic “yes!”
Planning a wedding was the next step in their journey, and they both agreed that Richmond, Virginia, was the perfect location. With the help of their talented planner, Jami with Our Curated Design, they designed a stunning romantic garden-inspired boho wedding at Maymont that left their guests in awe.
The day was filled with heartfelt vows and ideal autumn weather. Rebecca and Mike’s wedding truly reflected their love story. When asked their favorite parts of the day, Rebecca recalls, “Sitting at the reception and reflecting on the ceremony and the beautiful day we had, while also enjoying seeing all our loved ones happily chatting and enjoying the perfect alfresco dinner.” For Mike it was “Walking out for our first dance, seeing everyone together for the first time, and feeling the love in the room.”
