Emma and Charlie’s love story began at Fordham University in the Bronx, where they met in college before starting their life together. Years later, on August 25, 2024, Charlie proposed at Dog Beach in Westchester, one of their favorite places to walk their beloved dogs, Max and Odie. After Emma said “yes,” the celebration continued at Charlie’s childhood home surrounded by family and lifelong friends.
On October 11, 2025, family and friends gathered in Richmond for a day Emma describes in five words: pink, playful, whimsy, joyous, local. The couple exchanged vows at St. James’s Episcopal Church before celebrating downtown at Quirk Hotel, where bold design and heartfelt details created an unforgettable atmosphere.
Emma’s vision centered on one priority: fun. From the moment guests stepped into the reception, it was clear this would be a party to remember. A pink striped dance floor set the tone, while thoughtful details, like custom cups featuring Max and Odie, added personality and charm. During cocktail hour, guests were treated to a breathtaking pink sunset on the rooftop, a serendipitous backdrop that felt almost too perfect to plan.
One of Emma’s favorite moments was stealing away to soak in that sunset glow with Charlie before the evening festivities began. Charlie’s highlight was sitting down at the piano with the band to play Bruce Springsteen, a surprise that had the crowd cheering. Their first dance to Swept Away by The Avett Brothers was tender and romantic, while Murder on the Dancefloor became an unexpected high energy favorite as the night unfolded.
Their advice to future couples? “Take time to soak it all in, just the two of you. It goes by so fast. And don’t feel pressure to do everything the traditional way. It’s your day.”
With a joyful crowd, a packed dance floor, and a cotton candy sky overhead, Emma and Charlie’s wedding was the perfect reflection of who they are, vibrant, heartfelt, and entirely their own.
