Keyanna and Markus first crossed paths in 2004, when Keyanna’s family members introduced them. They talked once or twice on the phone before meeting up at a high school basketball game. That was the night the pair locked eyes and fell in love. After a few years, their first child was born in 2007.
The two embarked on different paths as life would have it, but their love for each other never wavered. In 2015, Keyanna and Markus wanted to give their relationship another try. Keyanna shares, “If two hearts are meant to be, no matter how long it takes, how far they go or how long it seems, love will bring them together to share a life forever!”
Once Markus acquired the ring, he was waiting for the perfect moment to propose. On Valentine’s Day, Keyanna left gifts and a note that expressed her love for him. He knew this was the day. He arrived at her place of work with flowers, candy, and a few gifts. The last gift she opened was a Pandora box with a charm that read “Will YOU marry ME?”
When planning for the wedding the aim was for it to feel royal and elegant. Royalty was a focal point throughout the day. As Keyana shares “that’s the way my husband and I view each other. As if I’m his Queen and he is my King”. Family surrounded them throughout the entire day. Keyanna even had one brother walk her down the aisle and the other brother officiate. The venue was carefully chosen to give an unforgettable experience. The couple has come a long way since being high school sweethearts, and finally celebrated making a Christian commitment before God and their family. “
Keyanna & Markus want everybody to know, … “no day is perfect! Things may happen that are out of your control. But with the love of your forever partner, God, and supportive family and friends, your day will turn out beautiful. Always try to enjoy every moment, even the small things. Communication is the most important factor in any relationship.”
