Tell us how many years have you been in the wedding industry.
I started doing wedding hair and makeup on the weekends as a side hustle in 2007, never dreamed it would be 17 years later and I’d have a team of wonderful artists doing this alongside me.
What’s your specific role in the wedding process? Are you hands on with the couples or do you work behind the scenes?
I work with the bride leading up to the big day for all the hair and makeup details! So it’s a little of both on my end really.
When should couples book their services with you? How far out from wedding date?
Usually around the 6 month mark is typical for hair and makeup, however I will say that for the peak dates ( April / May / June and then Sept / Oct / Nov ) we recommend 9-12 months out.
What’s your most frequently asked question by engaged couples? Usually hair and makeup wise, its questions about application. A lot of the AMP brides are more natural, clean, classic soft glam so they want to know that we can do a softer look! Which we can.
What are some trends you’ve seen in weddings recently that you’ve loved? Hollywood waves have been awesome when the weather isn’t too humid, and if the hair holds a curl well.
When it comes to food, what’s your guilty pleasure? Anything Mickey shaped 😉 haha!
What’s a fun or unusual fact about yourself? I used to be a runner and completed a full marathon in 2007 .. then stopped running completely.
How do you de-stress? Travel with my family.
Do you have any pets? Introduce them to us! Chip and Daisy, the salon pups!
