Courtney and Pat
June 11, 2022
We’ve all had that fairytale dream about the “boy next door” being your forever person, but what if we told you this was a dream come true for Courtney and Pat? They started off as neighbors, grew into friends, and ultimately, fell in love. With constant accidental run-ins at their apartment complex and a conjoining friend group, these two were bound to find their way to one another! Pat felt the connection grow stronger and decided to take his chances by leaving a note on Courtney’s door. (Adorable, we know!) Three years of friendship and a dinner date later, the two made the leap to fall head-deep in love!
As a good ol’ southern boy, Pat made sure he went the traditional route. He asked Courtney’s dad for his blessing and her mom for help with the ring! The proposal itself was sweet and intimate, they shared the moment just the two of them at their favorite park!
On their wedding day, they wanted it to be not only a celebration of their love but also a moment to appreciate their loved ones. They wanted their wedding to have an “intimate dinner party” feel while adding in traditional elements. Country and Pat wanted to pay a tribute to the loved ones who were no longer with them anymore by incorporating a picture of Pat with his mother sown into his tie and a “generations of love” table placed in the entryway of the reception.
The venue truly helped make their visions become a reality with a southern yet modern feel. The dinner party atmosphere was enhanced by the stunning views of the James River, rolling hills, and a beautiful ballroom. As if this beautiful wedding couldn’t get any better, the two chose a local caterer and had a blast with the mashed potato bar! With a mix of the gorgeous venue and delicious catering, this event truly had guests raving.
Courtney and Pat were able to stay true to the four elements they wanted most out of their big day, a beautiful venue, yummy food, being true to their budget, and being surrounded by their family and friends. Since saying “I do” the couple is living out their fairy tale and just bought their first house!
