Shannen and Joshua at Sabot School

October 11, 2025

How They Met

Shannen and Josh first met at The Boathouse. Josh added Shannen on Snapchat, but she jokes that she actually made the first move. Their playful connection grew quickly, full of laughter, late-night chats, and the kind of easy chemistry that makes you just know. Six months into dating, Shannen moved in with Josh, starting their life together and beginning the next chapter of their love story.

The Proposal

Josh planned the proposal with every detail in mind, knowing how much Shannen loves good photos. He took her to Alvis Farms during the sunflower festival, where they took a few adorable pictures together. As the festival wrapped up and they were among the last visitors, Josh proposed privately at sunset in the sunflower field. It was sweet, intimate, and perfectly captured their personalities and the love they share.

The Wedding Day

Shannen and Josh’s wedding was classic, whimsical, intimate, and full of Richmond charm. They combined timeless, garden-inspired elegance with personal touches that felt uniquely them, keeping the day relaxed and joyful rather than formal or stuffy. Their dog served as the adorable ring bearer, and their color palette of whites, shades of olive, and subtle touches of gold and black added understated sophistication. The ceremony was a standout moment, made even more special because Josh’s grandfather officiated. Guests were wowed by the bar setup, and every detail came together to create a chic, organic, and heartfelt celebration that reflected who Shannen and Josh are as a couple.
