Ceanna and Faiz have been friends since high school and by chance went to college together at James Madison University. It was during their senior year when they decided to make things official.
Ever since the two started dating, summertime became synonymous with trips to Faiz’s family’s beach house. Each year they looked forward to summers surrounded by their closest friends. Ceanna shares, “We took many impromptu trips to our favorite bars, country concerts on the beach and long days roasting in the sun. After many summers, this became our annual tradition with friends.”
Little did Ceanna know the summer of 2022 would hold an unforgettable surprise. Faiz, with the help of their closest friends, orchestrated a surprise plan to propose. As they all gathered outside for their customary “golden hour” pictures as the sun was setting, they walked down to the beach where Faiz proposed! The proposal was followed by many celebrations with friends and family.
Ceanna always knew she wanted to get married at her parent’s house where she grew up. They had a private nuptial ceremony the week prior, unbeknownst to their guests, which allowed them to truly absorb every moment of their ceremony. As big fans of all things organic and natural, they decided to implement earthy neutral tones throughout their big day. The wedding being outdoors played into the theme, and the low lighting from candles provided “the coziest vibe as the rain came down outside of the tent.”
They wanted a romantic and sophisticated atmosphere, and their wedding did not disappoint. The goal was to create an experience when guests walked into the tent by adding drapery, unique lighting, chandeliers, and decor. It truly felt like you were entering another world. Ceanna and Faiz want you to know, “When you start to plan your wedding, don’t let other people pressure you into making certain decisions. If it becomes too stressful, take a step back and think about simplifying your plans!”
