The morning of your wedding is an exciting time. It can easily become a stressful one, however, if you haven’t planned ahead. Whether it’s a bridesmaid who has gone MIA or your hair appointment running over time, there are some obstacles that could turn even the mellowest bride into a bridezilla!  Staying on schedule is KEY for a stress-free day.

Forget the stress and take care of these things in advance so they don’t pop up when you’re counting down the minutes to your I do’s.

Get Up Early

This may seem a bit obvious, especially since you’ll be brewing with excitement. Give yourself some time to sit and have a good breakfast. It’s a chance to reflect on the day’s meaning as well as to ensure that you’re ready when it’s time for your first appointment.

Schedule Appropriately

If your hair and makeup team isn’t coming to you, be sure to give yourself some wiggle room for travel and things taking a little longer than expected.

Pick Professionals

Amateur vendors are a no-no — just don’t do it! True wedding professionals know how to keep you on time and can truly anticipate how long certain things will take. This is especially important with hair and makeup stylists, as the wedding morning schedule will essentially be in their hands. You want to find someone who will show up on time and do their job beautifully in the time allotted.

Delegate, Delegate, Delegate

The last thing you want to do on the morning of your wedding is handle last-minute coordination and phone calls from vendors. In addition to hiring the right team (see last point!), assign your parents or friends to be the day-of contact and handle all of the final details. When you show up at the venue, everything will be in place and you’ll be none the wiser.

Don’t Mince Words

Some people are just eternally late. Don’t let that happen for your wedding! If you have a bridesmaid or groomsman who doesn’t seem to understand the concept of time, be very specific about all of the times he or she needs to be available. If you have to, give them a slightly earlier time to arrive!

When it comes down to it, just remember that in a matter of hours, you’ll be wed to your better half. That’s really all that matters, so take a step back and enjoy your amazing wedding experience — it’ll only happen once!
