Founded in 1978, 707 is a small, family-owned company located in downtown Richmond, Virginia that outfits its clients in fine men’s and women’s clothing. Dayal Baxani, President, is a native of Richmond, VA and has been leading 707 since the age of nineteen, continuing the legacy of his father, Chandru Baxani.

How did you get to where you are now?
With my passion for custom clothing over the years I have been blessed with the opportunity of adding value to the Richmond community through defining ourselves as not just a clothing store. We stay true to our mission: “To foster lifelong relationships with the world through the art of fashion”.

What makes you or your business stand out and why should a couple hire you?
We are relationship driven and not transactional. We streamline the process to make it an experience for the couple because we understand how stressful it can be to plan a wedding.

What’s your favorite thing about working in the wedding industry?
We understand that a wedding is a lifelong commitment therefore we love meeting everyone that is involved in the wedding so that we can foster life long relationships with them all.

What’s a unique tip you tell your couples?
Happy wife happy life!

What’s your best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding?
Time goes by very fast in the months of planning the wedding so try to embrace each moment and be thankful that you are able to plan a wedding.

What’s your favorite moment during a wedding?
I would have to say the “First Dance”, that’s when everything stops and all eyes are on the groom and bride as they share their favorite song on the dance floor.

What’s a funny/awesome story from a wedding you’ve worked?
We did a wedding in Richmond that was referred to us by Mens Wear House because they couldn’t accommodate on short notice. The wedding was taking place in two weeks and all the groomsmen were from Europe.

How do you de-stress?
By sitting back and thinking of all the amazing things that I’m grateful and thankful for.

What’s your favorite food/dish/cuisine?
Seafood.

What’s a fun or unusual fact about you?
I’ll have to leave that up to my audience 🙂

What’s the coolest thing you’re working on now?
The Red Button Club within 707.

Do you love to travel?
Yes, my wife and I used to travel internationally and domestically. I would say Singapore and Hawaii.

Do you have a pet?
We have a Cavalier King Charles named Button joining the family in August.

What’s your favorite family tradition?
Christmas. We love decorating the Christmas tree after Thanksgiving day and watching the kids light up as they unwrap the gifts.
