Kelsey and Luke’s story started in 2018 when they met in college—Kelsey at Longwood University and Luke at Hampden-Sydney College. Their connection grew through mutual friends and countless interactions, and by 2019, they were officially dating. They spent the rest of their college years together, making the most of every moment before they graduated.
After graduation, the couple took a big step and moved in together in 2022. Six months later, with the holiday season fast approaching, they busied themselves with preparations. Kelsey unaware that a life-changing moment was just ahead. This is when Luke seized the moment. Kelsey shares, “The proposal was intimate and happened right in our living room as we were preparing for Christmas festivities and wrapping presents.”
When it was time to plan the wedding, Kelsey and Luke envisioned a celebration that was both simple and elegant. With the wedding set in the heart of summer, whites and light blues were chosen to keep everything light and airy. The décor was minimal, allowing the natural beauty of the day to speak for itself. One of the evening’s most memorable moments was everyone jumping into the pool at the end of the night! To make it even more magical, cold sparks lit up the sky, leaving guests in awe. But above all, the true highlight was seeing friends and family come together to celebrate.
A couple of months after the wedding, Kelsey and Luke learned they were expecting a baby girl due in June! Kelsey noted, “…I think June might be a special month for us!”
