Hailey and Cameron at Mankin Mansion

September 21, 2023

They were destined. Born on opposite coasts, simultaneously moving to the other’s home state, Hailey & Cameron grew up 3,000 miles apart…until meeting at JMU. They bonded over East and West Coast “isms”, favorite poems, and summer trips to the James River. After a whirlwind summer, on the 21st of September, Hailey asked Cameron to be her boyfriend…cue the song, “Do you Remember…?”

Fast-forward to Hailey’s brother and sister-in-law, Aaron & Ginny’s gorgeous wedding in December, and the family vacation that followed. Nicknamed their “Family-moon”, Hailey’s family cruised to Central America where the family arranged for a surprise excursion to a sloth sanctuary in Honduras, a dream come true for Hailey. Cameron dropped to one knee as her family affectionately watched Hailey hold Snow White the sloth. “Hailey Marie Ramirez, will you do me the honor of becoming Mrs. Foster-Parker?” Through streaming tears, Hailey squeaked, “Yes! Yes!” as Cam slid his grandmother’s 100-year-old art deco engagement ring onto Hailey’s finger.

Married on their 7th anniversary, Hailey & Cam’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. Hosted at Hailey’s family home, Mankin Mansion Estate, with the ceremony held in the English gardens and beautifully officiated by Cameron’s grandmother. Another special treat was Cam’s maternal grandmother, lovingly known as “Dog Toe”, who was the couple’s flower lady. They celebrated their union with three Celtic traditions; saining to bless the space, handfasting to signify their bond, and an oathing stone to represent their connection with ancestors and uniting their two families as one.

Their reception followed, with a mix of lush, earthy, and eclectic tones, vintage furniture, lawn games, and candlelight throughout the grounds. After a surprise singing toast by the bride’s parents and a pie in the face, Hailey & Cameron danced the night away with family and friends from all over the continent. They continued the celebration with a bespoke afterparty DJ’d by Hailey’s father. Waffle House provided the late-night nosh before the newlyweds were whisked away in the family’s Aston Martin. Hailey & Cameron have since settled into their cottage on the Mankin property which they lovingly share with their two cats, Christa & Jonesy.
