Hannah and Kyal’s love story began in early 2021 in the mail room of their apartment complex. One evening, Hannah was collecting her mail when a playful German Shorthaired Pointer named Cooper ran up to her. Kneeling to give Cooper some affection, she looked up just as Kyal turned the corner. A simple “hi” sparked a connection that would change their lives forever.
Determined to see him again, Hannah tracked Kyal down on social media and sent him a follow request on Instagram, which he quickly accepted. A few days later, Hannah spotted Kyal at a local trivia night. Each round, she volunteered to deliver her team’s answers, conveniently passing by his table. Kyal couldn’t get her off his mind and left sweet notes on her car, his persistence and care eventually winning her heart.
The proposal took place in July 2023 during Kyal’s family vacation in Hilton Head Island. Kyal got down on one knee just before dinner, and both of their families were waiting behind a sand dune to celebrate the moment Hannah said “YES!”
The wedding day reflected their vision perfectly: elegant, timeless, unforgettable, joyful, and heartwarming. The “timeless elegance” theme focused on creating a guest experience that was just as meaningful as it was beautiful. From the florals to the lighting, each element was intentional and personal.
The ceremony and reception at Dover Hall was flawless. Hannah shared a quiet, intimate first look in the courtyard with Kyal, where they read their handwritten vows. “It was just the two of us before the whirlwind of the day began,” Hannah recalled. Guests were wowed by every detail, from the elegant décor to the Italian cookie table (a nod to Hannah’s heritage), mini wedding cakes, and late-night treats like chicken sandwiches and espresso martinis on the dance floor. Bonus laughter came when Kyal nervously said “Yes” instead of “I do” during the ceremony, to which Hannah winked back at him, making everyone erupt with laughter.
Their advice for couples? “Truly enjoy every moment. Laugh together, lean on each other, prioritize your relationship above all else. And trust me — drink lots of water, practice walking in your shoes, and don’t look at Instagram or Pinterest in the month before your wedding!”
